Happy New Year, and yes - I’m still here!

I haven’t dropped off the face of the earth or anything, just got REALLY tired after all the Christmas rush, so I’ve been quietly recuperating.

Christmas dinner was fun – we were 13 in all. I’ve been putting G2 (Gallery) together so that I can store a few pics, so I’ll have some photos there in the next couple of days. The turkey was too big, as always. A royal pain to fit in my teeny weeny oven, but we did it.

In the gift department, I was spoiled as always. Several books, (Hot Knits, The knitter’s Guide of Sweater Patterns and Marian Keyes “The Other Side of the Story”wink, an amazing set of carving knives, wine glasses, too much chocolate, a skinny wicker magazine rack (for my knitting mags to sit in), a new waffle iron (mine died right before Christmas) and a brushed stainless slow cooker.

No snow here yet, but we’ve had mega rain and a fog that wrapped us so tightly you could barely see your hands in front of your face. Today is beautiful and clear, a sign that the temperature is about to dip. I am wishing for just a little of the white stuff to fall!

I’ll leave you with a couple of photos from the last week (nothing exciting, but …wink
