I haven’t dropped off the face of the earth or anything, just got REALLY tired after all the Christmas rush, so I’ve been quietly recuperating.
Christmas dinner was fun – we were 13 in all. I’ve been putting G2 (Gallery) together so that I can store a few pics, so I’ll have some photos there in the next couple of days. The turkey was too big, as always. A royal pain to fit in my teeny weeny oven, but we did it.
In the gift department, I was spoiled as always. Several books, (Hot Knits, The knitter’s Guide of Sweater Patterns and Marian Keyes “The Other Side of the Story”
, an amazing set of carving knives, wine glasses, too much chocolate, a skinny wicker magazine rack (for my knitting mags to sit in), a new waffle iron (mine died right before Christmas) and a brushed stainless slow cooker.
No snow here yet, but we’ve had mega rain and a fog that wrapped us so tightly you could barely see your hands in front of your face. Today is beautiful and clear, a sign that the temperature is about to dip. I am wishing for just a little of the white stuff to fall!
