Hi Shelagh - I used to crochet, but I like knitting better (most of the time anyway). I found crochet was really fast to learn, I hope you are going to post pics of your work!

That looks good! I went to a basic crochet workshop today. I did learn chain stitch and treble stitch a long time ago and I was surprised how it all came back. I also learned double stitch today and how to turn around and start a new row. I have a crochet pattern for a baby?s shawl I?d like to have a go at but I suspect I need lots of practice first!
