Happy New Year! It’s a wet and rainy day out in “The Ridge”, as my DD#1 likes to call our corner of the world.

Hubby didn’t make it to midnight, which didn’t surprise me after working two days of getting up and to work before 7 am! But we had a pleasant evening at home and watched a DVD (PIRATES!).

2007 will be a better year for us. After all, 2006 included the mister falling off the roof and breaking his back, the never-ending kitchen reno that took over more of the house than intended, and DD#2 being kicked off her horse and ending up with a steel plate in her leg!

It also included the passing of my husband’s mother, a beautiful lady that we all still miss so very much.

I hate making any promises when it comes to what I intend to do in any new year, but I do hope that I will blog more, exercise more, knit more, laugh more, take more photos and just enjoy life without worrying if others are doing the same.

I want to quilt and sew more too - and remember to post photos of what I’ve done!
