christmas catch up post

So flog me with an old turkey drumstick! I’ve been very lazy when it comes to posting updates here. I’ll try to get better. Honest. Especially now that I have a new camera! HURRAY! (more on that later)

Here’s some pics of Christmas, curtesy of the two daughters. I was too busy cooking and worrying about getting dinner to the table to take photos. Some photos were taken with Lindsay’s Canon Rebel XTi and her Sigma 10-20 (wide angle) lens - which is why all the rooms looks so HUGE! Kaiti’s camera is a Canon Digital Rebel. OH - and MY new camera is the Canon Rebel XT, so I guess we’ve really become a Canon Family here!

My niece bought herself a Fuji camera (a few levels up from my beloved Fuji Finepix that recently gave up the ghost), but I’m not sure how many photos she took on Christmas day.

My apologies to people on dial-up or with otherwise slow connections, there are a LOT of photos. Click on any of these to view a larger version in a pop-up window, but be sure you have pop-ups enabled first!

Lindsay arrived on Saturday evening, and the girls baked Spritz cookies (a tradition in our house).

Random kitchen shots ...

Our Christmas tree and the fireplace mantle, Christmas morning.

Presents for pretty girls (and me too)!

Me digging for gifts under the tree, Glenn and his new hat and then there’s this other photo...am I dancing or what?

Putting together a Christmas dinner can be a serious thing! (the girls set the table for me however)

Not so serious shots ...

Dinner guests included my sister and niece (who eluded being photographed), my friend Shirley (who is in one of the kitchen shots), and Kaiti’s boyfriend Greg. Lindsay’s beau Nigel arrived later in the evening, after driving up from Washington state where he had been spending time with his Dad and family. It was a lot of good fun and a lot of good food!

I think I’ll quit with the photos now, before people run screaming from their computers (not sure on the load time here, but if it’s too extreme let me know and I’ll divide this into two posts).

Warm and fuzzy .. that’s as close to being in a Christmas decorated house as I have been all year.
Just lovely. And your new kitchen is beautiful.
